Pair French Heavy Gauge Ormolu & Bronze Ewers of medium proportions and of outstanding quality, in the manner of Claude Michel Clodion, third quarter of the Nineteenth Century.
The tapering ovoid body cast with a Bacchic procession between ormolu bands of grapes and vines, the highly ornate applied scroll handle surmounted with a Bronze seated feathered bird, above a ram's head.
Condition: Professionally re-gold plated and bronze patinated, no losses or imperfections. No foundry marks visible. Back and front views are similar.
